Living Waters Church began in 2005 with a few families gathered around a dining room table at Gary and Candace Newton’s home. We didn’t set out to be different. We simply wanted to express who God had called us to be. We believed that if people encountered Jesus, their lives would be changed. Over the years, we continued to grow as we created space for people to encounter the resurrected Christ. We moved from the Newton home, to the Democratic Hall, and eventually to the Hastings High School Lecture Hall. In December of 2013 we had the opportunity to lease and then purchase a building at 1302 S. Hanover St. in Hastings where we currently meet for our 10:01 a.m. Sunday gathering.
Our Sunday Gathering includes a time of worship, sharing of stories, and a passionate teaching from the Bible. We also offer nursery care and a high energy children’s ministry. Our Sunday gathering is a Safe Place to ask Questions and explore what it means to follow Jesus. However, our Sunday gathering is only a part of who we are and what we do.
We are active throughout the week meeting in House Churches. House churches are where relationships are developed and disciples mature.
In addition to house churches, we recognize the value and importance of Serving. We have several opportunities to serve together as a body of believers, as well as individually, as we love on our neighbors near and far. We believe the message of Jesus is for everyone and that you don’t have to have a squeaky clean life in order to enter in to a walk with Jesus.
Our website is only a glimpse of who we are. We would love for you to check out our Sunday gathering or join a house church. If you need any information about Living Waters or, if you would like to talk further about what it means to trust Jesus, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
